Jolie+Brett get married.

Last month, Rachel and I got to photograph the wedding of Jolie and Brett, and it was perfect! It was hot and sweaty and humid, but it was perfect.

And here are some of my favorites from Rachel.

This next one is the best. Rachel, I think it’s classic, and I love it in Black and White.

Mr. and Mrs. Hobbs, you are so sweet, and I love you guys!

and these.

I’ve been busy this summer with some pretty great family sessions… and other fun stuff. These first few are from a quick session with the Cornetts soon after they brought home their new addition.

And our next door neighbors who might as well be family, the Passmores.

The Smith family who was celebrating a Uof A graduation.

And for the other fun stuff. Earlier this summer, Emma and I got to go to a very cool birthday party at Ben’s house. You may recognize the train from the mall. Emma and I were so impressed with everything, and on our way home she said, “I think they must be the nicest people in the world.”

This summer is going by too fast. I’ve been trying to wake up around 6:00 and work until 8:00 or so until the kids wake up. This is the first summer they’ve slept in fairly consistently. The plan is that I won’t get back on the computer until after lunch when they know I have to finish up some work, but I either get caught up with something and spend way too much time trying to finish up, or some kind of summer activity takes over the entire day. I like the latter of those two issues! Nathan has been working so much at night, that I’ve been afforded a few hours after the kids go to bed to get some work done then. So all in all, I’m chugging along and we’re having a good little low-key summer.

Ben is 2!!!

I can’t believe that Ben is 2 years old now. His momma and I chased him around the train area in downtown Rogers where he clearly felt at home with his favorite subject.  He is too cute for words.

Emily, thank you for letting me spend some time with one of the cutest little boys around!

I heart the 4th.

This weekend, we got a phone call from Nathan’s sister, and she offered us a one-night stay in Branson. After hanging out in a pretty cool condo and letting the kids swim as long as they wanted, we met up with Denise and her crew for the  best BBQ and a beautiful boat ride.

We anchored the boat near Big Cedar to watch an awesome fireworks show. After a pretty scary explosion, the show re-started, and Nathan got these cool photos.

Then on the 5th, as soon as the sun went down, the kids set off their little bag of firecrackers. We only had one burned finger from the whole weekend, so I’d say we had the perfect celebration!

Sweet baby girl.

I was lucky enough to get to photograph sweet little Annie when she was just a few days old. I think she’s pretty cute to say the least.

Needless to say, we all love this sweet baby girl!

Annie Beth

(To read a much better description of this ‘eventful’ delivery, check out Rachel’s blog on the subject!)

Early in the morning, a little over a month ago, I got a call from Rachel saying it was time… then she handed the phone to Jamie while she had a pretty intense contraction. I gathered my things and rushed out the door toward the hospital where I had a terrible time trying to find the ER entrance. I thought I was going to be locked out all night and miss this rare photo op. When I finally arrived in the delivery room, I quickly learned how close I really was to missing everything! Annie Beth wasn’t waiting on anyone!

…After Annie’s quick delivery, I thought I had cried all the tears I could for one morning, but then a few hours later, Big Sister Audrie showed up to meet her new family member… and I felt just as emotional witnessing that moment.

That day was so incredible, and I was more than proud to be a part of it. Rachel and Jamie and Audrie and Annie, I love you all!

Happy Father’s Day!

I love you, Dad!

Jolie+Brett: Engagement

These two music lovers were married last Saturday, and I thought it was about time I share their engagement session photos. Jolie and Brett are so easy to be around, and I CAN. NOT. WAIT. to show you the pictures from their wedding day.

Jolie and Brett, I hope you’re having a great trip! Congratulations!

Talk about fun.

These two boys made me laugh. They are hilarious, and they make me smile again just seeing their photos.

Candace,  you guys must be doing something right! Thanks for a fun morning!

back in April…

I sort of feel like the “Little Engine That Could” with these blog posts. I’m slowly climbing the hill that is this list of blogs. So, here are some maternity photos of Rachel from a couple of months ago. Of course by now, baby Annie is here! I have plenty more photos to share of her, but for today, here are some pre-Annie photos.
