Fathers

In honor of yesterday, I did what any good blogger would do and googled some Father’s Day quotes. Here were my favorites.

Fathers, be good to your daughters. You are the god and the weight of her world. ~John Mayor, Fatherhood is pretending the present you love most is soap-on-a-rope. ~ Bill Cosby, And my very favorite: Old as she was, she still missed her daddy sometimes. ~ Gloria Naylor

Happy Father’s Day!!!!

I love you Dad!

MIA

The kids and I have been so busy that it doesn’t feel like we’re really on summer break yet. They were complaining to me that we haven’t stayed home enough lately. So I’m hoping this next week is easy going, and we can all get what we want. Which includes staying home, working my tail off on editing, playing a lot of games, and most importantly… swimming. I’m far behind on blogging, so I’ll go all the way back to the zoo pictures that I never shared.

I think Emma is so brave that a little bit of her strength rubs off on me sometimes. I surprised my usually careful self by basically touching this peacock with my camera. I’m sure you know that when a peacock is showing his feathers, he’s either being aggressive or trying to impress a peahen. This one was chasing away another male who was in his space so I was being especially brave for me….. although I’ve never heard of someone being attacked by a peacock so maybe I’m not so brave after all.

Baby Lion.

This was some sort of Zebra, and I was some sort of scared that it might gnaw Emma’s hand off.

This was her favorite part of the zoo, holding the bunnies. She wanted to keep one.

We have a full summer planned. Which means I’m going to have to make sure we have as much down time as we can for sanity’s sake. Wish us luck!

Betsy’s Bridals

Now that her wedding was here, I can post Betsy’s bridal pictures. Somehow, we managed to find some nice weather between all the terrible weather.

Betsy, you’re lovely, and I can’t wait for you to see your wedding photos!

Mr. and Mrs. Waterman

Last month Rachel and I spent a rainy Saturday on the North 40. This beautiful home was the backdrop for Erin and Aaron’s big day. Everyone was gorgeous!

Rachel took most of these detail shots.

And she did these. I’m in love with this next one.

The guests could really boogie, but the flower girl stole the show. These splits were like something straight out of a movie. She did a funny and well-rhythmed dance, jumped in the air, and landed in this position!

To the new Mr. and Mrs. Waterman, thanks for sharing your lovely day with us, and congratulations!
